“Obstetricians, midwives, pediatricians, nurses, lactation consultants, and community health workers are part of the continuum of care a woman receives during her prenatal and breastfeeding journey. All these providers have a crucial role in supporting a successful breastfeeding experience. The purpose of this presentation is to help health care and community health professionals understand why and how they need to work together to improve continuity of breastfeeding care. By increasing their awareness of their responsibility to support exclusive breastfeeding, viewers will be able to take the information and resources presented to develop strategies that can be implemented in their own practice settings.”
