“This program is intended for bedside nurses, wound care providers, and administrators responsible for patient care outcomes. The focus will be on current legal and regulatory issues related to agency-acquired pressure ulcers, and the implications for both bedside care providers and those responsible for agency wide programs designed to prevent, track, and respond to nosocomial ulcers. Current evidence-based guidelines for pressure ulcer prevention will be highlighted, as will the importance of accurate differential classification of pressure related injuries versus skin breakdown caused by moisture and/or friction.”
