“Purpose: Harmful algal blooms (HABs) have become a national and state concern due to increases in prevalence related to environmental conditions. Toxins secreted by HABs and the bacteria itself can pose a wide range of mild to serious health risks, such as dermatitis, gastrointestinal upset, liver damage, and neurological damage. This webinar will inform physicians, veterinarians and other healthcare providers about the health risks associated with HABs by presenting background information and reviewing case studies.”
