“This webinar will address issues of Latino health inequity on Long Island, the first large-scale suburb in the United States. Suburban areas present particular challenges to access and availability of health care to Latino residents at a time of rapid population changes. As more Latino immigrants bypass cities and settle directly in suburban communities, health care and social service providers are increasingly challenged to provide adequate and appropriate care. This webinar will examine the landscape of the health conditions and other concerns for Latinos on Long Island and will focus on promising solutions and policy changes.”
