The Importance of Child Passenger Safety

Presenters:

At the conclusion of the presentation, the participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize the important potential of child passenger safety to reduce the risk of death and injury for child occupants in the event of a crash;
  2. Describe factors which contribute to the high prevalence of child safety restraint misuse to better inform clients and families;
  3. Describe the process for selecting an appropriate child safety seat; and
  4. Identify available resources to ensure child safety seats are being used correctly.
